I survived -40

        I dug the soil
        As the snow melted
        The ladybirds swifted
        Shimmered and flapped
        Wave of joy                      
        The green buds peeked
        Smiled and gleamed
        Birds chirped
        And I shovled
        Spring is there!

After the snow melted. It was a joy to see the smiling faces of some of the perrenials showing their vigour and new buds emerging
